COMPREHENSIVE ECOLOGICAL, SOCIO-ECONOMIC STUDIES OF THE PROBLEMS OF REGIONAL DEVELOPMENT. THE "GREEN" ECONOMY OF RUSSIA

The transition of the global community from the classical economic model to the principles of a "green" economy is a key issue in maintaining the ecological balance of both individual countries and the entire Earth. The term "green growth" implies a combination of economic development with environmental policy, which ensures a continuous supply of natural resources and ecosystem benefits that our future depends on. To stimulate economic growth in a green direction, it is necessary to attract investments and innovative developments that will become the foundation for sustainable development and lead to the emergence of new economic opportunities. On a global scale, all countries are still striving to find optimal ways to transition to a "green" economy, where production processes are aimed at preserving resources and leaving no harmful waste, improve the quality of life of people and reduce risks to the environment. This article examines in detail current issues related to the rational use of natural resources and ensuring environmental safety in the Russian Federation. Particular attention is paid to the principles of "green" growth, which imply sustainable development and careful attitude to the environment. The authors focus on the prospects and possible directions for the effective implementation of this concept within the framework of Russia's regional policy. The transition to a “green economy” is a complex and multifaceted process that requires an integrated approach and close interconnection of all activities aimed at achieving specific goals, which include both the use of the country’s potential and the implementation of environmental, social and economic benefits.
