DEVELOPMENT OF A MATHEMATICAL MODEL FOR PREDICTING ACCIDENTS INVOLVING PERSONAL MOBILITY EQUIPMENT

Today, one of the main problems of the movement of personal mobility equipment (IMS) is the accident rate, which increases the number of road accidents. Such incidents mainly occur for several reasons, the main of which is the unsuitability of the transport infrastructure for movement and movement in conjunction with both traffic and pedestrian flows. In accordance with the latest changes in the rules of the road (SDA) SIM is recommended to move around the infrastructure designed for cyclists. Active development of bicycle infrastructure in cities should help reduce accidents involving SIM. As part of the study, an attempt was made to verify the relationship between the two parameters under consideration – the number of accidents involving SIM and the length of the bicycle infrastructure, on the basis of which a mathematical model was developed and prospects for further research were determined.
