Research on meshing stiffness and transmission error of beveloid gear based on finite element method

The use of the equivalent mesh stiffness calculation method in the calculation of the mesh stiffness of the beveloid gear seriously limits its transmission performance due to the large computational complexity and low accuracy. Aiming to solve the technical difficulties mentioned above, this article proposes an improved traditional meshing stiffness calculation method by calculating the meshing stiffness of a single node. Firstly, based on the gear meshing principle and the machining principle of beveloid gear, the gear meshing model is established. Secondly, the involute spur gear is analyzed by the single-node meshing stiffness, and compared with the analytical method to verify the accuracy of the analysis method. Finally, the variation laws of transmission error and meshing stiffness under different loads, axial installation errors, pitch cone angles and modulus are studied. The results show that the load and axial installation error have little influence on the meshing stiffness, but have certain influence on the transmission error. The change of pitch cone angle and modulus not only affects the transmission error, but also the meshing stiffness is also sensitive to its change. The research results can provide certain theoretical support for the dynamic research of other variable tooth thickness gears represented by beveloid gears.
