DE QUE FORMA O SERVIÇO SOCIAL AUXILIA NAS DOENÇAS CRÔNICAS? UMA ANÁLISE FRENTE A IMPORTÂNCIA DOS EXERCÍCIOS FÍSICOS ASSOCIADOS A CONDUTA DE UMA EQUIPE MULTIPROFISSIONAL
The mediation of Social Services in connecting patients with public policies, community resources and support groups has improved access to opportunities for physical exercise, positively impacting the management of chronic diseases. Thus, the general objective is to analyze how the work of Social Services, in conjunction with the multidisciplinary team, can contribute to the adherence of patients with chronic diseases to physical exercise as part of comprehensive treatment and promotion of quality of life. And the specific objectives are; to identify the main challenges faced by patients with chronic diseases in adhering to prescribed physical exercise, considering socioeconomic, cultural and emotional aspects; to investigate strategies and practices used by Social Services to facilitate the inclusion of patients in physical exercise programs in the multidisciplinary context and to evaluate the results of Social Services actions in promoting health and managing chronic diseases, focusing on quality of life and treatment effectiveness. The methodology was an integrative literature review, which involved six steps: (1) selection of the question for the review; (2) selection of research that will constitute a sample; (3) representation of the characteristics of the reviewed research; (4) analysis of results according to the established inclusion criteria; (5) interpretation of results; (6) presentation and dissemination of results, based on the consultation of works published in the last 10 years (2015-2024), containing 10 articles at the end of the sample. The results and discussion pointed to the need for public policies external to the inclusion of these individuals in accessible rehabilitation programs, highlighting the relevance of intersectoral work. Finally, multidisciplinary work is essential in the management of chronic diseases, promoting greater adherence to treatment and improving quality of life.
