GENERAL GEOGRAPHY OF OCEANIA (CLIMATE AND GEOLOGY)

The purpose of this study is to collect and systematize natural, climatic and geological information about the Oceania region in order to form a general understanding of it through theoretical (study and analysis of scientific literature, regulatory documents, synthesis, generalization of information) and empirical (interviewing) research methods. According to the staff of the Institute of Oriental Studies of the Russian Academy of Sciences, even among scientists there is a limited understanding of this region and it is often considered in oriental studies. This situation is also relevant in higher education institutions, as well as at various levels of training for teaching geography, regional studies and international relations. In most cases, this region is not affected or half of 1 academic hour is allocated to it. Thus, this work was developed as a reference material or a manual for teachers, regional scientists, geologists and other specialists.
