Gamification Learning Media Innovation Caps and Brooms in the Subject of Reading and Writing the Qur'an

This study aims to describe an innovative learning media called Caps and Brooms, which was developed by modifying the traditional Snakes and ladders game by enhancing or adding new elements such as board game design, game rules, and accompanying game aids, which are then implemented as an alternative to enhance students' interest and learning achievement. Additionally, it addresses educators' concerns about utilising innovative gamified learning media with affordable costs and overcoming technological limitations, which have posed challenges resulting in a crucial impact, such as decreased student interest and subsequent learning outcomes. This research employs the Research and Development (R&D) method with the ADDIE model approach (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation). The results of this study indicate that using Caps and Broom's learning media can increase students' interest and enthusiasm in the teaching and learning process, improve students' learning outcomes, and serve as an effective and efficient alternative learning media for educators or facilitators who implement it.
