Analysis of the Implementation of the Discovery Learning Model on the Critical Thinking Skills of Elementary School Students

This study aims to determine the effect of the Discovery Learning model in improving students' critical thinking skills in mathematics subjects in grade IV of SDN 2 Sukorejo Lamongan. The method used in this study is a quantitative research method with a Pre-Experimental Design research type in the form of The One Group Pretest-Posttest Design. Based on the average pre-test results, students' critical thinking ability showed a value of 38.75, increasing in the post-test with an average value of 81.35 and an N-gain of 0.72, indicating an increase in the high category. The results of the t-test calculation ( Pair Sample t-Test ) using the SPSS version 2.6 application showed that Ha accepted that there was a significant influence between the application of the Discovery Learning model on critical thinking skills in mathematics subjects in class IV SDN 2 Sukorejo Lamongan.
