The effect of the use of angioprotectors with venotonizing properties on the dynamics of manifestations of pathological neurological symptoms in patients in the acute period of traumatic brain injury
Improvement of schemes and methods of treatment of patients in the acute period of traumatic brain injury (TBI) and do not lose their relevance nowadays. The article presents the results of a clinical examination and treatment of 60 patients in the acute period of traumatic brain injury who underwent inpatient treatment at the neurosurgical department of the Solnechnogorsk Central District Hospital of the Moscow Region in the period from 2018 to 2020. All patients were diagnosed with cerebral contusion. A prerequisite for making a diagnosis was to perform computed tomography of the brain on patients. Complaints were recorded, and the dynamics of the patients’ level of consciousness and neurological status were assessed. The examination and treatment of patients were carried out in accordance with the clinical guidelines «Clinical recommendations. Severe traumatic brain injury» by the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation (Moscow, 2017) Assessed the dynamics of objective neurological symptoms in patients with UGM during the first two weeks of inpatient treatment. The patients were divided into two groups according to the criterion of using angioprotectors with venotonizing properties in the treatment regimen. The main group included 43 patients who received the drug from the first day of hospitalization. The control group of patients consisted of 17 people who did not receive angioprotectors with venotonizing properties in the treatment regimen. As an angioprotector with venotonizing properties, the drug escina lysinate was used, which was administered for 10 days as an intravenous infusion twice a day of 10 ml of the drug in a dilution of 0.9 % sodium chloride solution. The dynamics of objective neurological symptoms was assessed in two groups of patients with cerebral contusion during 14 days of inpatient treatment. There was a statistically significant regression of meningeal symptoms, nystagmus, speech disorders, disorders of criticism and disorientation, cognitive impairment and ataxia in the main group of patients.
