Innovative Polymer Nanocomposite of <scp>P(VDF‐TrFE)/PEDOT:PSS/MgO</scp> for High‐Performance Supercapacitors

ABSTRACT This study presents an innovative P(VDF‐TrFE)/PEDOT:PSS/MgO composite electrode, designed to enhance the electrochemical performance of supercapacitors. The synergistic combination of P(VDF‐TrFE) (high dielectric constant), PEDOT:PSS (high electrical conductivity), and MgO nanoparticles (improved ion accessibility) results in an optimized nano‐architecture for superior charge storage. Structural and morphological analyses confirm the formation of a well‐dispersed composite with enhanced interfacial interactions. The electrode exhibits a specific capacitance of 50 F/g at 10 mV/s, retaining 70% at high scan rates, with excellent cyclic stability over 5000 cycles. Electrochemical impedance spectroscopy reveals low solution resistance (1 Ω) and charge transfer resistance (6 Ω), ensuring efficient charge transport. Compared to conventional polymer‐based electrodes, this composite demonstrates higher capacitance retention, lower internal resistance, and superior energy density (0.01 Wh/kg at 0.08 A/g). These findings establish P(VDF‐TrFE)/PEDOT:PSS/MgO as a promising material for next‐generation flexible and high‐performance energy storage applications.
