Dị vết dạ dày dạng khoái bã thức ăn: Đặc điểm lâm sàng, nội soi và kết quả điều trị qua nội soi dạ dày bằng dụng cụ cải tiến

Background: Gastric bezoars are uncommon diseases in clinical settings, often resulting from underlying morbidity. Traditional methods of treatment are associated with high complication rates, making it challenging to manage this condition. Aims: The aim of our study was to research clinical and endoscopic features and evaluate the value of using improved endoscopic tools for treatment. Subjects and methods: We conducted a prospective and retrospective study at 108 Military Central Hospital from 01/2018 to 12/2020, which included 30 patients diagnosed with gastric bezoars. Results: Of the 30 patients, 17 were men and 12 were women, with an average age of 51.3 ± 5.3 years. The average size of the gastric bezoars was 3 x 5.5 x 9 cm, with 22/30 (73.3%) patients having only one bezoar, and 27 (90%) presenting with dark-colored and hard bezoars. Gastric-duodenal ulcers were present in 25 patients (83.3%), but all symptoms resolved and the ulcers healed after four weeks of conservative medical treatment. Conclusion: Using the modified bezotriptor, we were able to successfully fragment all bezoars, and no complications were reported in this study.
