SIMULATION MODELING TO IMPROVE THE RELIABILITY OF ROBOTIC DEVICE COMPONENTS
The existing methods of modeling devices and technical systems that ensure the effectiveness of product development were analyzed. They presented a brief classification of software for simulation modeling and design of structures, described the functions of the software used. (Research purpose) The research purpose is increasing the reliability of a robotic device for servicing a feeding table at livestock complexes by using simulation tools. (Materials and methods) Tested the safety margin of the cantilever attachment of the fluffing screw at rated operation of the electric motor using the dynamic modeling package of the SolidWorks program. The maximum pressure on the auger and the end mount was estimated. (Results and discussion) Solving the problem of optimizing the thickness of the sheet metal of the elements of the cantilever attachment of the auger, we selected a steel thickness of 5 millimeters, which provides a three-fold safety margin of the console at a pressure on the end weighing 250 kilograms. The placement of the center of mass of the robotic device for servicing the feed table at livestock complexes in the plane of the driving wheels was ensured by the internal layout of the battery power system and other parts, which will reduce the load on the support wheels, which have less wear-resistant and support load compared to the driving wheels. (Conclusions) The simulation modeling tools used in this study made it possible to solve the problem of optimizing the thickness of the sheet metal of the elements of the cantilever attachment of the auger, to select the thickness of the steel, which provides a three-fold safety margin of the console and to reduce the number of R&D cycles aimed at manufacturing and testing a prototype robotic device for servicing the feed table at livestock complexes.
