DEVELOPMENT OF METHODS FOR RESTORING TRACTOR ENGINE PARTS
Restoration of parts is a complex of operations to eliminate the main defects that ensure the resumption of operability and parameters established in the regulatory and technical documentation. Using repaired parts to fix a machine malfunction is much more efficient than replacing a worn-out part with a new one. (Research purpose) The research purpose is conducting a retrospective analysis of the evolutionary factors of the development of methods for restoring tractor engine parts. (Materials and methods) Reviewed the main stages of development and conducted a comparative analysis of methods and technologies for restoring tractor engine parts. (Results and discussion) The evolution of the development of technical methods for the restoration of tractor engine parts was analyzed. Compared with the manufacture of new parts, the number of processing operations during restoration is reduced by 3-8 times. The creation of production facilities for restoration requires 2-2.5 times less capital investment compared to similar enterprises for the manufacture of spare parts. An important advantage of restoration is low metal consumption: 20-30 times less metal is needed than for the manufacture of new spare parts. Only by eliminating the metallurgical production cycle, when restoring one ton of steel parts, it is possible to save 180 kilowatts/hour of electricity, 0.8 tons of coal, 0.5 tons of limestone, 175 cubic meters of natural gas. (Conclusions) We have identified areas for further research and prospects for the development of technology for the restoration of tractor engine parts. It was revealed that one of the promising areas is plasma spraying technology, as it allows to increase wear resistance and extend the service life of tractor engines, reducing the proportion of manual labor and freeing operators from repeated and accurate repetition of operations.
