Critical Success Factors of Digital Transformation in Supply Chain Management of UAE’s Public Sector
The advent of digital transformation has significantly reshaped various sectors, with supply chain management (SCM) being no exception. In the public sector, particularly in the United Arab Emirates (UAE), the integration of digital technologies into SCM processes promises considerable improvements in efficiency, transparency, and responsiveness. UAE government’s commitment to smart city initiatives and digital governance provides a robust foundation for digitizing SCM in the public sector. By implementing advanced digital solutions and practices, the UAE aims to streamline procurement processes, reduce operational costs, and improve service delivery. This study explores the critical success factors (CSFs) for digital transformation of supply chain management in the public sector of the United Arab Emirates (UAE). The research aims to identify, categorize, and prioritize these CSFs to guide successful implementation of digital initiatives in the UAE's public service supply chain. Through a literature review and Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) analysis, the study examines current key factors influencing the success of digital transformation in the supply chain of UAE’s public sector. The findings highlight the significance of data security, leadership, and top management support in digitalizing service supply chains. The study also emphasizes the multifaceted nature of digital transformation and the need for a holistic approach that addresses various critical success factors. By prioritizing these factors within the context of the UAE's public sector, this research provides valuable insights for decision makers and supply chain managers seeking to optimize their digital transformation strategies and improve overall supply chain performance in the public sector.
