IMPROVING THE PHYSICAL AND CHOREOGRAPHIC TRAINING OF CHILDREN AGED 6–7 YEARS IN FIGURE SKATING

Abstract. The article deals with the problem of improving the physical and choreographic training of children aged 6–7 years who are engaged in figure skating. Pedagogical observations of 42 training sessions on the basis of the sports club ‘Ice school’ in Lviv were conducted. Lviv, which was attended by 18 figure skaters aged 6–7 years. On the basis of the conducted pedagogical observation it was established that in the system of integral training of beginner athletes aged 6–7 years old the most significant are technical 50.0 % (on ice — 40.0 % and in the hall — 10.0 %), physical and functional (24.0 %) and choreographic (22.0 %) types of training; psychological (2.0 %) and tactical (2.0 %) types of training have less influence on the competitive result of skaters at this stage of training. at this stage of training it is advisable to use a special complex of auxiliary exercises, and this should be done in the final part of the lesson. As for the focus of special auxiliary exercises: introduction of classical training took 48.0 % of the time; strengthening of abdominal muscles and arm strength of novice athletes by means of floor training — 14.0 %; another 8.0 % of the time, specialists used to develop the back muscles of figure skaters, for training on simulators; 30.0 % of the time of daytime training was used for combined sets of exercises, after which, unloading the back muscles of children by hanging on a crossbar or a Swedish wall. Using a specially selected set of exercises of the training system work with the simultaneous application of adequate control and correction of choreographic training of children aged 6–7 years during the experiment, allowed to improve the level of assessment of ‘artistry’ of sportsmen-figure skaters in EG on average by 17,8 %, at the same time indicators of the level of power endurance of sportsmen-figure skaters by all studied criteria increased on average by 31,0 %. In addition, at the end of the experiment there was a steady tendency to decrease the coefficient of variability, which also indirectly confirms the effectiveness of the proposed training methodology, which is purposefully aimed at developing and strengthening the muscles of individual body parts most involved in figure skating, as well as at improving the choreographic and physical fitness of beginner figure skaters aged 6–7 years.
