Exploring Pyrazine‐Based Organic Redox Couples for Enhanced Thermoelectric Performance in Wearable Energy Harvesters (Small 14/2025)
Thermoelectric Generators Thermogalvanic cell-based thermoelectric generators convert low-temperature waste heat into electricity. In article number 2407622, Cheng-Liang Liu and co-workers analyze pyrazine-based redox couples and identify 2,5-pyrazinedicarboxylic acid dihydrate (PDCA) as optimal. When integrated into a double-network hydrogel, PDCA achieves an ionic Seebeck coefficient of 2.99 mV K−1. A TEG with 36 PDCA-soaked hydrogels successfully powers an LED, demonstrating potential for wearable devices.
