Investigation and Reflection on the Ability and Literacy of Primary School Mathematics Teachers in Rural Small-Scale Schools—A Case Study of Xinhua County, Hunan Province

随着教育发展和改革的推进，农村小规模农村数学教师的专业素质问题逐渐受到社会、国家的广泛关注。本研究以湖南省新化县部分小学数学教师为例，通过问卷调查、访谈一线教师和课堂观察等多种研究方法，深入调查农村小规模小学数学教师的能力素养现状。研究发现农村小规模小学数学教师在专业理念、专业知识、教育信息技术运用等方面的现状和存在问题。通过增强教师自我驱动力，加强教师培训力度、缓解教师工作压力等措施，可针对性提升农村小规模小学数学教师的能力素养以便大力推动农村教育的发展。With the advancement of educational development and reform, the professional quality of mathematics teachers in small-scale rural schools has gradually drawn extensive attention from both society and the state. This study takes some primary school mathematics teachers in Xinhua County, Hunan Province as an example, through a variety of research methods such as questionnaire survey, interviews with front-line teachers and classroom observation, to investigate the current situation of the ability and literacy of rural small-scale primary school mathematics teachers. The study found that the current situation and problems of rural small-scale primary school mathematics teachers in professional concept, professional knowledge, the application of educational information technology and so on. By enhancing teachers’ self-driving force, strengthening teachers’ training, relieving teachers’ working pressure and other measures, we can improve the ability and quality of rural small-scale primary school mathematics teachers in order to vigorously promote the development of rural education.
