Results of treatment for chronic central serous chorioretinopathy using the IRIDEX IQ577 yellow spectrum diode laser
Objective. To develop a management strategy for patients with chronic serous chorioretinopathy and to assess the effectiveness of focal laser coagulation and subthreshold micropulse laser coagulation in patients with chronic CSC. Material and methods. The study included 13 patients with symptoms of chronic CSC. Optical coherence tomography (OCT) was used to identify the presumed leakage point. Laser coagulation was performed using the IRIDEX IQ577 yellow spectrum diode laser. Results. In cases of focal laser coagulation at the presumed leakage point, a positive effect was observed in 78 % of cases. For subthreshold micropulse laser coagulation in a grid pattern within the area of neuroepithelial detachment, a positive effect was observed in 75 % of cases. Conclusions. Focal laser coagulation and subthreshold micropulse laser coagulation in a grid pattern within the area of neuroepithelial detachment using the IRIDEX IQ577 yellow spectrum diode laser are effective in the treatment of chronic CSC. Keywords: chronic central serous chorioretinopathy, focal retinal laser coagulation, subthreshold micropulse laser coagulation
