Condition of the optic nerve disc and blood flow velocity in the central retinal vein in intracranial hypertension
The authors conducted a study of 34 patients with different stages of development of congestive optic nerve papilla with hyperthesis syndrome. At the same time, it was noted that in the initial stage of development of hypertensive syndrome, the blood flow velocity in the central retinal vein decreased by 1.0 cm/sec. Optical coherence tomography showed a decrease and disappearance of excavation of the optic nerve disk. In the pronounced degree of congestion of the optic nerve juice, the systolic blood flow velocity decreased by 2.1 cm/sec. Optical coherence tomography showed the appearance of edema in the neuroepithelium of the optic nerve head, which led to a significant increase in the volume of the optic nerve head. At a pronounced stage of development of congestive papilla of the optic nerve, systolic outflow of blood flow in the central vein of the retina slows down by 3.2 cm/sec, on tomograms the edema passed into the zone of the perpapillary region of the optic nerve disc. Which led to an increase in the peripapillary zone and the thickness of the epithelium. Keywords: optic nerve head, central retinal vein blood flow velocity, optic coherence tomography
