Unbiased photoelectrochemical tandem reaction for concurrent oxidations with ultra-high overall faradaic efficiency
This diagram shows a dual-core PEC system converting HMF to value-added chemicals. The NiOOH/BiVO 4 photoanode generates ˙OH radicals, while Ru/CuBi 2 O 4 photocathode produces ˙O 2 − radicals, oxidizing HMF with high selectivity and faradaic efficiency.
