Real-Time Operation Strategy for Energy Storage Considering Power Generation Rights Transfer
Virtual power plants, energy storage, demand response, and microgrids are among the emerging entities that are widely participating in market interactions. Forms of power generation right replacement transactions will have significant room for development. The introduction of energy storage on the new energy side can enrich the content of power generation right replacement transactions. This paper proposes a real-time operation strategy model for source-side energy storage considering power generation rights transfer. Utilizing current ultra-short-term wind power forecast data and ultra-short-term load forecast data, as well as the impact of expected profits at future moments, the model guides the storage operation strategy at the current time based on real-time market information. It determines the current charging and discharging capacity of the storage, providing guidance for the charging and discharging behavior of BESS (Battery Energy Storage System), and enabling its participation in real-time market simulations of combined wind-thermal-storage operation. This further encourages thermal power units and new energy units to participate in peak regulation. Finally, the effectiveness of the model is verified through case studies. The results indicate that the model promotes the participation of new energy generation in the real-time market, increases new energy consumption, reduces carbon emissions, and increases the benefits for both parties.
