INCIDÊNCIA DO PRIMEIRO COMANDO DA CAPITAL (PCC) NOS JORNAIS O GLOBO E O ESTADO DE SÃO PAULO: REBELIÕES DE 2001 E 2006.
Seeking to understand how media vehicles relate to public security subjects, this study presents a survey on the mention of the term PCC in two brazilian newspapers (O Globo and Estadão) and relates these findings to research on the private security market in the state of São Paulo. The research is delimited to the periods of the 2001 and 2006 rebellions. To achieve this, the study is structured as follows: it begins with a brief introduction aimed at contextualizing the Primeiro Comando da Capital and its historical formation process, highlighting crucial events for understanding the research findings. This is followed by a methodology section, which details how the study was conducted and outlines the theoretical references used. Finally, the conclusions present the inferences drawn from the discussions, along with the necessary considerations regarding the project.
