Age-related characteristics in differentiated thyroid cancer: a 20-year single-center retrospective analysis in pediatric and adolescent patients
Our findings corroborate previous evidence on the predominance of papillary carcinoma and the association between radiation exposure and thyroid cancer. Younger patients demonstrated more aggressive tumor characteristics and higher recurrence rates, underscoring the need for age-specific management strategies. Early detection, comprehensive surgical intervention, and multidisciplinary follow-up are essential for achieving optimal outcomes.
