On the use of double quantile regression and visual assessment to estimate performance constraints

Double quantile regression (DQR) is a statistical method used to estimate constraints on animal performance, but it has some important limitations. We explored the benefits and limitations of DQR and concluded that, while it is helpful in some situations, it should be used cautiously and in conjunction with other methods.
