AGRICULTURAL ORE OF THE BAIKAL REGION AS A BASIS FOR THE DEVELOPMENT OF PHOSPHORUS FERTILIZER PRODUCTION

The growth of global demand for food requires the fastest possible transition of agriculture to the next technological level. This involves the intensification of agricultural and food production (automation and robotics), as well as more efficient use of the main types of mineral fertilizers. Since the Baikal region has a fairly high natural resource potential in the production of various types of mineral fertilizers, it seems relevant to intensify the involvement of existing agro-ore mineral resources. The article assesses the agro-ore potential of the Baikal region and its capabilities in the production of phosphorus fertilizers. Based on this, conclusions are formulated on the need to develop the largest deposits of phosphorites and apatites that do not entail deterioration of the environmental situation
