METHODOLOGY OF MANAGING THE RISK OF CORPORATE CONFLICTS IN SMALL AND MEDIUM NON-PUBLIC COMPANIES

The article is devoted to the development of a methodology for managing the risk of corporate conflicts between participants of Russian non-public small and medium-sized businesses. The objective is to establish the closeness and nature of the relationship between the degree of regulation of the most conflict-prone corporate actions and the frequency of corporate conflicts in non-public small and medium-sized businesses; to develop tools for calculating the degrees of regulation of corporate actions, to build an econometric model in order to predict the frequency of the risk of corporate conflicts; to determine the stages of implementing the proposed methodology and their content. The method of complex analysis, as well as the method of systems analysis, the method of correlation and regression analysis are used. As a result of the study, a close inverse relationship was established between the degree of regulation of the most conflict-prone corporate actions and the frequency of corporate conflicts in non-public small and medium-sized businesses; a tool for calculating the degrees of regulation of corporate actions was developed, a linear regression equation was compiled in order to predict the frequency of the risk of corporate conflicts; the stages of implementing the proposed methodology and their content were determined. The results of the study can be applied by Russian consulting companies and specialists in the field of corporate governance, as well as by the heads of non-public small and medium-sized businesses. The revealed dependence indicates the possibility of managing the risk of corporate conflicts by regulating the most conflict-prone corporate actions. The compiled linear regression equation allows us to predict the frequency of corporate conflicts and determine the extent to which the most conflict-prone corporate actions should be regulated to minimize corporate con flicts. The theoretical significance of the work is that a dependence was revealed between the frequency of corporate conflicts and the degree of regulation of a number of corporate actions. The practical significance of the study lies in the possibility of using the proposed methodology in the activities of Russian small and medium-sized businesses to manage the risk of corporate conflicts.
