Rematerializing impeller condenser cooling pump air conditioner of MV. Madidihang 03

Centrifugal or centrifugal pumps have a central element, namely, a driving motor, one type of pump used as a condenser cooling medium in the Central Air Conditioner cooling system at MV. Madidihang 03 with impeller blades that rotate at high speed. The working principle is to convert mechanical energy into kinetic energy of the fluid (speed). The fluid is directed to the exhaust pipe using pressure (the kinetic energy of some of the fluid is converted into pressure energy) using an impeller that rotates inside the casing. The pressure in the pump increases by producing a section with low pressure (lower than atmospheric pressure) on the suction side of the pump and high pressure on the output side of the pump. This research tests the mechanical strength of metal impellers used in centrifugal pump applications. The impeller converts kinetic energy from the pump into velocity energy in the liquid pumped continuously so that the liquid on the suction side will continuously enter to fill the void caused by the displacement of the previously incoming liquid. According to the design of the impeller, the pump uses the liquid that enters previously. The success of a condenser pump in carrying out heat exchange depends on the quality and performance of the impeller used. Impeller material testing can be carried out using various methods, such as testing the material's hardness, microstructure and chemical composition. Material hardness testing can be carried out using a Rockwell hardness testing machine. The impeller test results found that the chemical composition contained dominant elements, namely, Cu 61.41150%, Pb 2.55102, Sn 0.72053, and Zn 34.37452. Impeller hardness testing resulted in a hardness of 42.2 HRB. In addition, the microstructure of the impeller belongs to naval brass insert text.
