FORMATION OF A CLASSIFICATION SCALE FOR MEASURING PRODUCT CATEGORIES IN A BUSINESS ENVIRONMENT

The article substantiates the process of forming a classification scale for measuring various categories of goods in a business environment. It is revealed that this process leads to the fact that there is a need to give a modern definition of goods for search and use experience based on their respective attributes: internal, external, explicit, hidden. The scientific novelty of the article lies in the proposal of a new metric scale for measuring the characteristics of goods, based on the definition of their search and use experience. The practical significance of the work is supported by empirical research, in which the developed scale is used to classify 47 categories of goods, ranging from durable goods to short-term goods. The results of which confirm the effectiveness of the measurement tool.
