Proceedings of International Conference on Innovative Materials (ICIM 2024)

The International Conference on Innovative Materials (ICIM 2024) was envisioned as a platform for students, researchers, academicians, and scientists to exchange knowledge and showcase advancements in materials science. The conference aimed to highlight pioneering research, encourage collaborations, and facilitate discussions on emerging trends in the field. The inaugural edition of ICIM was organized by the Department of Physics and IQAC, St. Stephen’s College, Uzhavoor, in association with DCDC and DSS, Mahatma Gandhi University, Kottayam, Kerala, on November 21-22, 2024. With 158 participants from six countries, the conference featured 13 technical sessions, including 9 invited talks, 46 poster presentations, and 78 oral presentations. These sessions covered a wide range of topics, offering valuable insights and promoting interdisciplinary perspectives. We were honored to host distinguished speakers who enriched the conference with their expertise and insights. Dr. Suraj Soman (CSIR-NIIST), Dr. Riju C. Issac (CUSAT), Prof. Vincent Mathew (Central University of Kerala), Prof. P. R. Biju (MG University, Kottayam), Dr. Smijesh N. (RRI, Bangalore), Dr. Ratheesh R. (CMET, Hyderabad), Dr. Chinju Govind (University of Geneva), Prof. Laeticia Petit (Tampere University, Finland), and Prof. Gin Jose (University of Leeds, UK) delivered thought-provoking lectures on recent advancements in materials science, significantly contributing to the depth and diversity of discussions. This proceedings volume comprises a carefully curated selection of high-quality research papers that have undergone rigorous peer review to ensure originality, scientific merit, and relevance. These contributions span both fundamental and applied aspects of materials science, reflecting the commitment of the global research community to advancing the field. All papers included in this volume have undergone a rigorous preliminary and peer review by editors and expert reviewers. We extend our gratitude to all reviewers and authors for their valuable contributions. The reviewers provided professional evaluations based on originality, innovation, applicability, technical merit, organization, and relevance to the conference themes.
