Cross-Currency Transaction Management and Pricing Strategies for MSMEs at the Indonesia-Timor Leste Border

Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) play a crucial role in Indonesia’s economy, including in border areas. However, MSMEs in the Indonesia-Timor Leste border face significant challenges in managing cross-currency transactions and determining competitive pricing. This community engagement program aims to provide training on financial record-keeping, currency exchange management, and pricing strategies for MSMEs in Motamasin. The program consists of theoretical training and simulations, where participants learn to record transactions, analyze exchange rates, and set competitive prices considering currency fluctuations. The results indicate that MSMEs benefit from structured financial recording and increased awareness of exchange rate risks. Strengthening financial literacy and compliance with currency regulations enhances MSMEs' business stability and contributes to Indonesia’s economic sovereignty.
