Static and Dynamics Analysis of Groundwater Profile Due to Sidoarjo Mudflow, East Java

The Sidoarjo mud burst disaster has affected land and sea infrastructure and the environment, namely lowering soil quality, changing the geological structure of the soil, and changing the water quality around the eruption. This study examines the conception and the profile of groundwater level and interface lines, which are the dividing lines between freshwater and saltwater. This research has been conducted by using static and dynamic numerical models. Static models represent conditions without force, and dynamic models respond to forces, including tides, precipitation, and mud reservoirs. The groundwater level profile resulting from the reservoir's existence is presented based on the records of field survey results in the surrounding area. The results of this static and dynamic model are validated with field records from the results of the location survey.
