Research on noise suppression in optical communication of data centers based on multi core fiber
With the rapid advancement of optical fiber communication, the demand for high-capacity data transmission is rising, driving the widespread adoption of multicore fibers. However, the signal quality in multicore fibers is significantly affected by four-wave mixing noise and inter-core crosstalk. To address these challenges, a robust signal transmission scheme is required to mitigate noise effects. This paper explores various conditions and proposes effective noise suppression schemes. For scenarios with abundant channel resources, both uniform and non-uniform signal allocation methods are introduced to accommodate diverse transmission needs. When channel resources are constrained, the scheme minimizes noise interference. Finally, an experiment is designed for testing. Two experimental groups and one control group are set up, and the expected results are analyzed. After comparing the experimental results, it can be concluded that this scheme has a good effect on noise suppression. The scheme's innovation lies in its simplified model, which employs a frequency difference as the unit frequency. Based on this model, frequencies are allocated to suppress four-wave mixing noise, and further frequency shifting is applied to reduce inter-core crosstalk. The advantages of the proposed scheme include simplicity, practicality, and broad applicability, making it suitable for most multicore fiber application scenarios.
