Construction of composite radiation sources for mirror collimators
Subject of study . The study investigates the feasibility of constructing a composite radiation source for integration into a mirror collimator. Aim of study . The objective was to develop a structurally simple radiation source for a collimator used in the alignment and adjustment of optoelectronic observation systems operating in the visible and infrared spectral ranges. The source was designed to simultaneously emit radiation within the required spectral intervals from a specified area and facilitate the placement of this area against a background with a temperature lower than the ambient temperature. Method . The study employed theoretical and applied optics principles to design and analyze the radiation source. Main results . A structurally simple radiation source for the visible and infrared spectral ranges was successfully developed and studied. The source is capable of emitting radiation from a single point on a cooled diaphragm. Its properties were thoroughly analyzed to ensure optimal performance. Practical significance . The radiation source has been integrated into a mirror collimator for aligning an observation system with dual receiving channels. This model simplifies the adjustment and alignment process, enabling simultaneous calibration across different spectral ranges. Additionally, the manufacturing process for the radiation source is straightforward, requiring no specialized equipment.
