Raciolinguistic practices in Indonesian context: A bibliometric analyisis

This study examines how raciolinguistics is manifested in Indonesia, a country characterized by its ethnic diversity, through a Bibliometric analysis using the PRISMA 2020 methodology. The analysis reveals that raciolinguistic research in Indonesia is largely centered on domains such as education and teaching, news media, social media, and literary studies. Discourse in this field predominantly highlights individualized racismo, especially hate speech, while educational research often examines ideological dominance in both pedagogy and literature. Methodological approaches in these studies are diverse, including critical discourse analysis, qualitative interviews, and narrative studies. This study provides a systematic and structured approach to collecting and analyzing related literature, laying a foundation for a deeper understanding of raciolinguistics in the Indonesian context. Therefore, this study makes a significant contribution to the development of the field of raciolinguistics in Indonesia and highlights the importance of understanding the role of language in social dynamics influenced by race. Furthermore, this study highlights the importance of collaborative efforts between government entities, educational institutions and civil society to address racism and discrimination across various communication platforms. Such efforts should focus on public education, strengthening regulations, and promoting racial awareness and tolerance in Indonesian society.
