Green and rapid synthesis of a two-dimensional Zn-MOF with Lewis acid–base sites via a solvent-free strategy

A 2D Zn-MOF was rapidly synthesised within minutes via a solvent-free “dry heating” approach. Featuring synergistic Lewis acid–base sites, the material exhibited unprecedented performances in CO 2 cycloaddition and flame retardancy applications.
