Yearly and Monthly Components of Air Temperature Variability in the Surface Layer in 1981–2010

The estimates of the yearly and monthly components of air temperature variability at the $$1^{\circ}\times1^{\circ}$$ grid points are obtained for the 30-year period 1981–2010. The initial data are taken from the NOAA-CIRES-DOE 20th Century Reanalysis V3. Corresponding standard deviations are represented as schematic maps describing their distribution in the geographic space.
