FOCUSING IMAGES IN VHF BAND SAR FOR ROTARY-TYPE UAV

The article considers the problem of developing algorithms for nonparametric focusing in radar with digital aperture synthesis. In the case of placing a radar on board a rotary-type UAV, when forming images in the VHF frequency range, a focusing problem may due to the trajectory instability of the carrier. The stuy suggests a nonparametric focusing method using an algorithm for reducing the dimension of the problem and polynomial parameterization. The effectiveness of the suggested algorithm is illustrated by examples of processing real radio holograms, from which it is clar that the focusing method using polynomial parameterization of the trajectory delay function provides an ability to focus radar images of the radar with acceptable quality. The number of fixed parameters depends on the size of the ROLE, the disturbance of the real trajectory, and the required spatial resolution.
