Drug Utilization and Evaluation of Esomeprazole
Esomeprazole, a proton pump inhibitor (PPI), is widely used for the treatment of acid-related gastrointestinal disorders such as GERD, peptic ulcers, and Zollinger-Ellison syndrome. This study aims to evaluate the pattern of drug utilization and assess the rationality of esomeprazole use in a hospital setting. Data was collected retrospectively/prospectively over a period of [insert duration], and parameters such as dosage, duration of therapy, indications, and co-prescribed drugs were analyzed. The findings help identify prescribing trends, adherence to standard treatment guidelines, and opportunities for improving rational use.
