Triple Arthrodesis in the Setting of Charcot Arthropathy With Valgus Peritalar Dislocation; Surgical Technical Tips
The peritalar dislocation pattern of Charcot arthropathy represents a challenging problem. Extensive fusions with “superconstructs” are technically demanding and have not proven to yield better results in these patterns, especially in the absence of midfoot involvement. This article outlines a series of soft tissue releases and percutaneous screw trajectories to allow for a relatively straightforward triple arthrodesis to address this complex deformity when performed for isolated peritalar subluxation/dislocation. Level of Evidence: Level Ⅴ.
