Cellulose hydrogenolysis on a combination of tungsten oxide nanorods with and without ruthenium loading for enhanced ethanol selectivity

Ru/WO 3 and WO 3 in combination is efficient for cellulose conversion to ethanol. We investigated the overall reaction kinetics for the integrated system. A mathematical model was developed based on the rational simplification of a reaction network.
