Comparative assessment of carbon dioxide emissions from soil under the influence of loosening and the introduction of additives in the form of compost and biochar
The paper analyzes CO 2 emissions from soil when it is processed using compost, biochar, and loosening. It was established that different methods of soil processing have a significant impact on the level of CO 2 emissions from the soil. It was revealed that the greatest increase in CO 2 emissions (8.5 times) compared to the control was recorded in the soil with the addition of compost. It was found that the introduction of biochar increases the respiratory activity of the soil by 3.5 times. It was determined that the smallest contribution to CO 2 emissions is observed when processing the soil using loosening.
