Exploring the Seed Theory of Fu Qingzhu’s Gynecology from the Perspective of Kan and Li in The Book of Changes
Fu Qingzhu’s Gynecology was written by Qing dynasty physician Fu Shan. Its seed chapter is about the treatment of female infertility and still has a profound impact on the clinical treatment of women’s pregnancy and childbirth to this day. Fu Shan is good at Taoism and medicine, and his thoughts on Yi Xiang are very widely used. Half of his ten seed articles are based on the Kan-Li relation in The Book of Changes to discuss the corresponding pathogenesis. In treatment, he pays attention to the combination of water and fire in the heart and kidney, as well as the use of other viscera and organs. This paper explores the thought of heart-kidney harmony embodied in the seed chapter from the perspective of the Kan-Li relationship, in order to provide a reference for the clinical treatment of infertility.
