Surfacing of wear-resistant metal and evaluation of its properties

The article considers the issue of the influence of the nature of the core of the powder strip on the properties of the wear-resistant deposited layer in relation to the operating conditions of the parts of backfilling devices of blast furnaces. It is shown that the introduction of a complex-alloyed alloy powder into the core of the ribbon electrode instead of a mechanical mixture of components increases the uniformity of wear of the deposited metal due to the homogeneous distribution of chemical elements in the component composition of the core of the powder ribbon. This contributes to the formation of a deposited alloy with a better and uniform distribution of structural components and a wear-resistant phase, which increases wear resistance by 30 % at angles of attack of the gas jet 30...50°.
