Phenomenological evaluation for reproduction of coatings formed by electrolytic oxidation

For coatings obtained by electrolytic oxidation, the occurrence of electrochemical damage during the formation of the modified layer is a common negative phenomenon. To increase the economic efficiency of oxidation, the factors that identify the early occurrence of damage on the surface of the part are established and a method for diagnosing the destruction of the surface ceramic layer directly during the formation of the coating is proposed. The probability of damage to the coating is proposed to be estimated by the parameter of the ratio of the rate of voltage change in the current microarc oxidation process to the rate of voltage change in the basic process, which proceeds without damaging the surface of the part. The optimal ranges of this parameter have been established at the stages of annotation and arc discharge. The results of the study can be used to evaluate the reproduction of high-quality coatings directly in the process of microplasma oxidation.
