Wear resistance of composite material Fe—Cu obtained by coaxial laser melting

The possibility of obtaining a composite material based on immiscible components of the Fe—Cu system by coaxial laser melting of powders has been established. Melting modes, powders and growth strategy have been selected. Compositions of the following compositions Fe—Cu have been obtained by means of coaxial laser melting; 75 % Fe—25 % Cu; 50 % Fe—50 % Cu; 25 % Fe—75 Cu %. It was established that the structure of these materials is a copper matrix with evenly distributed iron particles. There was no delamination of elements in the volume of the track. An important feature of the obtained materials was the absence of porosity in their structure. Samples with a diameter of 60 mm and a height of up to 80 mm were grown, from which disks with a diameter of 50 mm and a thickness of 5 mm were made.
