Bifurcation of Dust-Acoustic Waves in Suprathermal Polarized Dusty Plasma
In this paper, we study the effect of the suprathermal polarization force acting on dust grains in a collisionless plasma containing suprathermal electrons, Maxwellian ions, and fluid-negatively charged dust grains. Using the pseudo-potential approach, it has been shown that the spatial profile of dust-acoustic solitary waves is drastically affected by the suprathermal polarization force. In particular, we have found that for a given value of the spectral index, the amplitude of the rarefactive Sagdeev potential pulse increases as its width decreases while increasing the magnitude of the polarization force. Using the bifurcation analysis of planar dynamical systems, the existence of solitary wave solutions and periodic traveling wave solutions has been discussed in the case of a space dusty plasma. These findings may be applicable to understanding the nonlinear properties of dust-acoustic waves in space and various experimental dusty plasmas.
