Real-Time Distance Measurement Between Structures in Breakwater Construction Using a Multipath-Resistant Underwater Acoustic Positioning System
In this paper, we report on the installation of a multipath-resistant underwater acoustic positioning system developed by our team for real-time distance measurement between structures at breakwater construction sites. Experimental results from both a controlled testing pool and an actual construction site demonstrate that the system can achieve precise positioning with submeter-level accuracy. The successful application of this technology in construction projects highlights its potential to enhance the mechanized construction of underwater structures, such as breakwaters.
