Lifting and Mooring Mechanism for a Surface Vehicle Equipped with an Underwater Vehicle

The development of underwater vehicles has advanced significantly, but challenges such as operational efficiency, transportability, and the need for specialized equipment remain. This study aims to develop a surface vehicle equipped with a lifting and mooring mechanism that can deploy, retrieve, and tether an underwater vehicle efficiently. The surface vehicle is designed for easy transport by a few people, with features such as modular components and maneuverability for versatile deployment. The lifting and mooring mechanism employs a magnetic coupling system, enabling compact design and scalability for additional functionalities. Experimental evaluations demonstrated the mechanism's ability to lift loads between 30 kg and 35 kg, confirming its capacity to handle the 7 kg underwater vehicle effectively.
