Kinerja Lingkungan dan Biaya Lingkungan: Faktor Penentu Nilai Perusahaan di Era Keberlanjutan

The purpose of this research project is to examine how a firm's environmental efficiency along with its expenses related to environmental protection impact the market value of manufacturing firms traded on the Indonesian capital market between 2020 and 2023. Using a statistical method, specifically multiple linear regression, we found that environmental efficiency shows no notable correlation with company valuation, but environmental spending significantly reduces it. These findings imply that corporate efforts to improve ecological performance have not directly increased market value, whereas high environmental costs may create financial burdens, ultimately reducing company valuation. The findings of this investigation contribute meaningful viewpoints regarding the connection between a firm's green practices and its financial worth, yielding significant implications for management tactics and investor analysis.
