Study on Influencing Factors of Self-Regulated Learning – Python Programming as an Example
Self-regulated learning refers to the process in which learners are responsible for their own learning, from passive acquisition of knowledge to learning self-active control and restraint. Based on the results of self-regulated learning scale, nine non-computer students of the Python Programming course were selected for semi-structured interviews. This study, based on interview results, found that students individual factors and teaching factors will directly affect self-regulated learning, while knowledge and task factors and course feature factors will indirectly affect self-regulated learning. In student individual factors, the understanding and perception of self-regulated learning, self-regulation ability / self-evaluation and reflection ability; task difficulty in knowledge and task factors; teaching link in teachers' teaching factors; the understanding of the characteristics of the course in course feature factors are the five main influencing factors of students' self-regulated learning ability. This study proposed teaching intervention strategies to improve students' self-regulated learning ability and programming ability.
