Highly stable PZT supercapacitor for energy storage devices
Abstract The perovskite-type material PbZr 0.53 Ti 0.47 O 3 (PZT) was synthesized using a scalable solid-state reaction method for the application of electrode material as a supercapacitor. The XRD data showed a perovskite structure with a dominant tetragonal phase of space group P4mm. In a three-electrode system with 1 M H 2 SO 4 as the electrolyte, PZT demonstrates a substantial specific capacitance (C s ) and stable electrochemical performance. The PZT asymmetric supercapacitor operates at a working voltage of 0–1 V, delivering a notable specific energy density and excellent cycling stability, retaining over 92.4% of its capacity after 10,000 cycles at a scan rate of 200 mV s −1 .
